The third number of the IBF rating Carlos Takam will become the new opponent of world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua after his former rival Kubrat Pulev was forced to give up the fight because of a right shoulder injury. According to the event organizers, the contract for a duel with Takam has already been signed. According to the decision of the IBF, this fight will become an mandatory defense of the title by Joshua, since Takam ranked third in the ratings immediately after Pulev.
