Groves knocks out Cox in 4th

WBA super middleweight champion George Groves (27-3, 20 KOs) knocked out previously undefeated Jamie Cox (24-1, 13 KO) in the fourth round and reached the semifinal of the World Boxing Super Series, where he will meet early next year with Chris Eubank, Jr.

The fight started pretty fast, Cox went ahead, and already the end of the first round was a trading of punches. Later Groves took a wait-and-see position and accurately punched towards coming Cox. In the fourth round on the right hook of his opponent Groves answered with the right to the body, which landed exactly to the liver and Cox kneeled on the canvas and could not rise to the end of the countdown. The official time was 1:42.
