WBO cruiserweight champion Alexander Usyk (12-0, 10 KOs) denied information that Anatoly Lomachenko is his coach after the departure of James Ali Bashir. "He's not my coach, he's a coach of Vasily Lomachenko. I can ask him for some advice, he will not refuse and will help me, but he is not my coach, "Usyk said.
At the moment, Usyk is in Bukovel, Ukraine, where he prepares for the first fight within the World Super Series against former champion Marco Huck, whom he will fight September 9 in Berlin. The training camp of the Ukrainian is headed by Sergey Vatamanyuk.
"I communicate with Anatoly Lomachenko, but I have my own training camp, and we do our work here. Together with Sergey Vatamanyuk we draw out a work plan that we are doing," Usyk added.
