Garcia-Broner Peaked at 937K Viewers

Showtime drew its biggest audience for boxing of 2017 on Saturday night. Mikey Garcia's masterpiece unanimous decision against Adrien Broner in their junior welterweight fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, averaged 881,000 viewers and peaked at 937,000, according to Nielsen Media Research. It was the network's most watched bout of the year so far.

The co-feature, Jermall Charlo's fourth-round destruction of Jorge Sebastian Heiland in a middleweight world title eliminator, averaged 500,000 viewers and peaked at 542,000. The total telecast, which aired from 9 p.m. ET to 11:16 p.m. ET averaged 660,000 viewers.
