WBC lightweight champion Mikey Garcia (37-0, 30 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Adrien Broner (33-3, 24 KOs) in the main event of the New York evening at the Barclis Center arena as part of the super lightweight division. The judges’ notes: 117-111, 116-112, 116-112. As a result Garcia tried on a vacant WBC diamond champion title.
