The 36 year-old David Haye believes he’ll be ready for a world title challenge three fights into his comeback from a lengthy absence, with only Bellew standing in the way of realizing the initial goal when Haye first announced his return. Anthony Joshua and Haye’s former opponent Wladimir Klitschko are set to rumble in front of a record crowd of 90,000 at Wembley Stadium, with ‘The Hayemaker’ one of the main considerations for promoter Eddie Hearn should 'AJ' come out on top.

“After Bellew, the winner of Joshua v Klitschko is definitely my main focus,” Haye told. “Now that Tyson Fury is in his little slump, that’s the next fight we will consider. The winner of that would be considered the premier heavyweight on the planet. So a win obviously puts me in a good position to meet the winner of those two, which is what I’m aiming for. That would be as big as it gets.”

As he’s riding high in the ratings, Haye was asked about the recently announced Joseph Parker v Hughie Fury clash and whether he’d consider going after the eventual victor of the New Zealand encounter, to which he pointed out: “I’m ranked quite high with most of the organisations and the heavyweights are wide open.

“There are a lot of avenues I can go down but I’m not focusing on anything else at the moment. Anything can happen in this game. Parker and Fury could draw and then they’d have to fight again, so anything could happen which is why I’m not focusing on any other fight,” said Haye.
