Garcia: Thurman wanted this fight

WBC title holder Danny Garcia has warned Keith Thurman of the task that faces him as the two continue preparations to collide at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on March 4. ‘Swift’ finds himself in the strange position of underdog for the contest, although is ready to put his body on the line against the bigger punching Thurman in a bid to be crowned number one welterweight fighter on the planet.

“I just had to tell Keith to be careful what he wished for. He wanted this fight, but now that he’s got it, you have to deal with me,” said Garcia. “I’m going to take this one round at a time to get the victory. If the knockout comes, it comes. I’m not going out of my element. I’m going to do what I do best. We’re definitely going to work the body. But we’ll work the head too, wherever we can hit him. We’re just working smart and hard in camp. Nothing is changing from past camps. We’re going to put in work.”
