Former UFC two-weight champion George St-Pierre revealed how he was once approached about a mixed rules bout with famed boxer Floyd Mayweather.
"I was in Austin, Texas. The promoter flew in on a private jet and we had dinner. He said it was going to be a boxing match in an octagon ring. I asked: "What's the compromise?" He replied that it was an octagon ring and I was allowed backfists. I asked: "Can I kick?" I was told he would never say yes. I then asked if I could throw him, but was told no. I was prepared that after the throwing we would stand up again, but I was told to forget it. It was a trap and I wasn't that stupid," the Canadian told Covers Channel.
