Ali Abdel-Aziz, manager of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, responded to a question about whether Khabib could really compete at the organization's 300th anniversary tournament.
"No, that's total bullshit. If I was asked to call Khabib, I wouldn't even do it. I wouldn't ask Khabib to fight, the guy is done. His legacy has gone to other people - Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov, Usman Nurmagomedov, his team. Now he's helping these guys climb to the top," Abdel-Aziz told TMZ Sports.
UFC 300 will take place on the night of April 13-14 in Las Vegas. The event will be headlined by a bout between the promotion's bantamweight champion Alex Pereira and Jamal Hill.
