Benavides: 'I think Alvarez is getting ready to end his career'

Interim WBC interim world middleweight champion David Benavides believes that Saul Alvarez, who holds all the major belts in the division, could be retiring from the sport soon.

Earlier it became known that the Mexican rejected the offer to fight the American for $ 55 million.

"When I was growing up, I didn't have a dream to necessarily fight Alvarez. My dream was to become the best representative of my generation. Canelo knows what I'm capable of. He sees it in my eyes. I want greatness and their side talks about money. I don't care about money. From a young age, I've made a lot of money. It's not something I think about.

When it came to 150-200 million, even Mayweather and Pacquiao didn't understand anything. In my mind it means that Alvarez is getting ready to end his career," Benavides told FreshandFit.
