Thurman backed Tszyu after his defeat to Fundore

Former welterweight world champion Keith Thurman addressed Tim Tszyu after his loss to Sebastian Fundora.

Last weekend at the boxing night in Las Vegas, USA, the Australian lost to the American by split decision and lost the WBO light middleweight title. The vacant WBC belt was also at stake in the encounter.

"Congratulations to 'Hell's Tower' (Fundora's nickname - ed.). And respect to Tim Tszyu. You were supposed to fight me, but you agreed to be a substitute. Styles make fights, and it was a challenge for you.

You had to endure a bloodbath. You showed courage and showed how tough you are, we knew you were a world class fighter. Hold your head up high. If I were you, I would seek a rematch," Thurman wrote in X.

Recall that initially with Tszyu was supposed to fight Thurman, but the American dropped out due to health problems.
