Chris Weidman, the former UFC middleweight champion, responded to Bruno Silva's claims that he criticized the judging in their fight.
"You can't go down every time you feel someone touched your eye. He poked my eye with his finger once too, but I stayed standing and endured it. Until the ref says something, I don't stop. I came from wrestling and it's the same thing there - you can't look to the ref for help. No matter what happens, you always have to defend yourself, and he went down again. I don't know if he was looking for an opportunity to get out of the fight, but you can't turn your back and fall down every time you feel like you've had a finger poked in your eye."
