Haney spoke out about Alvarez's reluctance to fight Benavides

WBC champion in the first welterweight Devin Haney commented on the refusal of the owner of all belts in the second middleweight division Saul Alvarez from the fight with David Benavides.

Earlier it became known that the Mexican rejected the offer to fight the American for $ 55 million.

"I'm not going to say that Saul Alvarez is avoiding him, we've seen Saul's track record. I can't say he's avoiding anyone at all. But does he want to get in the ring with him? I don't think so.

He has easier fights, but he has an exceptional resume. I think this fight just has to make sense, he wants $150 million or so and Benavides' promoter has said it's realistic. Benavides is one of the best in the sport right now. I like him a lot. And I'd like to see him fight Canelo," BoxingScene quoted Haney as saying.
