Covington: 'Strickland was the underdog in my division'

Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington of the United States never tires of criticizing former titleholder compatriot Sean Strickland.

"He was the underdog in my division, he couldn't hold on. He got beaten up and knocked out. That's why he had to leave the division, he couldn't make weight. I think he's a sack, he was missing too many punches to the head, he has chronic encephalopathy. You can't understand what guys like that are talking about," Covington said on the Soscast podcast.

Recall that in his last fight, Strickland lost a split decision to Dricus Du Plessis and lost the title. It happened on January 20 at UFC 297 in Toronto.
