Ronda Rousey, former UFC champion, explained why she made the decision to retire from mixed martial arts.
"I kept my concussions a secret for years. I couldn't perform at a proper level anymore, I had to quit. The loss to Holm was the result of many factors. Among them, the concussions I received in judo before I transitioned to MMA were also the cause. I kept my mouth shut in wrestling too, as they already have a bad reputation for concussions. In my book, I finally talked about those moments. The decision to leave MMA was a difficult one. But it was also easy at the same time - my body made it for me," MMA Junkie quoted Rosey as saying.
