Manuel Charr (34-4, 20 KOs) suffered a left biceps injury while preparing for his fight for the WBA regular heavyweight belt against Kubrat Pulev (30-3, 14 KOs). The fight, originally scheduled for March 30, will now be rescheduled for another day. The new date of the event, organized in Sofia, has not yet been confirmed.
Last September, the WBA reached a settlement with Charr, who sued the association, which reinstated him as regular heavyweight champion. Jarell Miller was set as an opponent to fight Charr, but the American eventually chose to fight Daniel Dubois.
Pulev returned to the ring last December after more than a year off, defeating Andrzej Wawrzyk on points. Charr last boxed in December 2022.
