Bidding results for the Baumgardner-Persun fight

Global Combat Group has won the bid to organize the WBC women's bantamweight title fight between Alicia Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) and Delphine Persoon (49-3, 19 KOs).

The winning bid totaled $500,000. The promoter organization Matchroom Boxing also took part in the tender and offered $250,000.

The fight should take place in the summer. The American has held the World Boxing Council belt for more than two years and the Belgian is the official challenger. Persoon is a former world lightweight champion.
