WBC president says Ngannou will leave the top 10

Mauricio Sulaiman, president of the WBC, has spoken out about Francis Ngannou 's future prospects after his early defeat to Anthony Joshua. The functionary stated that Ngannou will leave his organization's top-ten because he lost so quickly in his last fight.

"Yes, he will definitely leave the top 10 because he was knocked out in two rounds. I don't regret that we put him in the rankings. He had an amazing fight against the WBC champion and a successful career in MMA, which is in line with our organization's ranking criteria," Suleiman told talkSPORT.

The confrontation between Joshua and Ngannou took place on March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ending with the British boxer winning by knockout in the second round. It should also be noted that Ngannou was knocked down in the first round.
