Nurmagomedov doesn't want to give Sandhagen a shot in the standup

Umar Nurmagomedov, the UFC lightweight division fighter, spoke about a possible fight with Corey Sandhagen. Umar noted that he could beat Corey in the standup, but he prefers not to risk it that way.

"I think I can beat him in the stand-up, but why would I give him a chance? A stand-up is always 50-50. Somebody can catch you. Anybody has a chance for a lackey punch. Why give him a chance for a laki-punch when I can transfer him and choke him, or dominate him and smash him? That's why I always prefer to transfer people and then choke or smash them," Umar told MMA Fighting.

Recall, earlier Nurmagomedov called Sandhagen the most difficult opponent for him.
