Anthony Joshua's coach has pointed out Ngannou's major mistake in his fight with Anthony

Ben Davison, the trainer of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, believes Francis Ngannou should not have boxed against his charge in a left-handed stand-up.

"We knew Ngannou would have trouble defending if A.J. did a couple of things before a certain scenario. It's hard for Ngannou to defend against right hands in a left-handed counter and that's what happened. I think it was a mistake on his part to fight in a lefty standup, but I understand him. He's done it throughout his career.

I just feel like that was the key - creating situations where Ngannou couldn't see the punches, making him think about something else before he threw a punch. That was the key to winning - making sure he reacts to something and then making him pay for it. I think A.J. did a good job in that regard," Davison said on The MMA Hour podcast.

Recall that Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round in the main event of Boxing Night in Riyadh on March 8.
