Canelo called the fight with Munguia a huge event

Saul Alvarez, the absolute world champion in the super middleweight division, spoke about the recently announced fight with his compatriot Jaime Munguia. Canelo noted that a fight between the two Mexicans is always a huge event.

"Mexican against Mexican is always a grand event, it hasn't been like this in a long time. It's great that this opportunity went to a fighter who deserved it, a fighter like Jaime. I'm very happy that two Mexicans will meet in such a great boxing match," said Alvarez.

The confrontation between Canelo and Munguia will take place on May 5 in Las Vegas, USA. At stake will be Alvarez's super middleweight titles.

In his last fight, Canelo won a unanimous decision over Charlo. And Munguia won by TKO over Ryder in his last fight.
