In early March, Umar Nurmagomedov picked up his fifth win in the UFC, winning by unanimous decision over debutant Bekzat Almakhan. After that victory, he named several fighters with whom he would like to share the octagon. Among them was Sandhagen.
Sandhagen and Nurmagomedov were supposed to fight at UFC on ESPN 50 in Nashville, but Umar was injured and was forced to withdraw from the fight.
