Francis Ngannou, former UFC heavyweight champion, has revealed that he was in serious financial trouble before leaving the organization. According to Francis, he borrowed $200,000 from Kamaru Usman.
"I backed out of my agreement with the UFC and was paid $600,000 for my last fight. I was offered to re-sign and get five million. And I ended up with no money. I then owed 200,000 dollars to Kamar Usman! It's true," MMA Fighting quoted Ngannou as saying.
Ngannou did not sign a new contract with the UFC and moved to the PFL. As of now, Francis has not had a single fight in this league. However, he has already made his professional boxing debut, losing by split decision to Tyson Fury.
