Japan's legendary K-1 promotion has loudly announced its return. The organization has announced that the final Heavyweight Grand Prix will take place in Japan this December, with the 8-man heavyweight division, already a tradition. The winner of the 8 will be determined in one night.
At the moment we know the name of only one participant of the eight - Chinese fighter Liu Ce, who won the K-1 ReBIRTH tournament last year.
The remaining 7 participants will be determined as follows: 3 fighters will qualify for the Grand Prix following the Osaka tournament, which will be held on March 5. Another 4 fighters will be determined by the results of the qualification tournaments:
MAY 19 or JUNE 22 - THE UNITED STATES
JUNE 29 - BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
JULY 27 - ITALY
AUGUST 3 or AUGUST 10 - BRAZIL
