Khabib Nurmagomedov, former UFC lightweight champion, recalled how nervous his now deceased father was before his fight against Dustin Puryear.
"Before the fight with Dustin Porier, my father secured me for the first time in the UFC because he was not given a visa to the United States. The week before the fight was a lot of fun. It was emotional and with good energy. The fight night when I beat him was one of the best fight nights of my professional career because I remember how nervous my dad was, how I talked to him before the fight and after the fight. Even just before the fight, when Bruce Buffer was introducing us, I saw his face and he was very nervous. I told my dad: "Relax. Calm down," - told Khabib.
Recall, Khabib won from Puryear by submission in the third round.
