Blades has revealed his plan for the Almeida fight

Top American UFC heavyweight fighter Curtis Blades shared his gameplan for his upcoming bout with Brazilian Jailton Almeida.

"I'm going to defend against his kickdowns and then bring out my inner Justin Gaethje. I'm going to emphasize boxing. I think I have enough skills to knock this guy out in the standup," Curtis told The MMA Hour.

Recall that the fight between Blades and Almeida will close the preliminary card of the tournament UFC 299, which will take place on March 9 in Miami, USA. For the 33-year-old American, this fight will be the first after an early defeat to Sergey Pavlovich last April.
