Benavides is inspired by Usik, Lomachenko, Mayweather

Undefeated David Benavides has spoken out, naming names of boxers who inspire him.

"Every day I watch about two hours of boxing. I watch Floyd Mayweather because he does everything technically well. I watch Roberto Duran and Sugar Ray Leonard. Oscar De La Hoya for his jab. Vasyl Lomachenko and Oleksandr Usyk for his dodges. I watch Devin Haney, too. I learn from these fighters every day. I hate it when boxers say, "I don't watch boxing." It's fucking stupid, honestly, you're a fucking idiot," Benavides told ThaBoxingVoice.

Recall, his next fight Benavides will hold against Alexander Gvozdik. At stake will be the title of interim champion in the light-heavyweight division of the WBC.
