Fury: "If the dissection opens up in the fight with Usik, the hell with it"

WBC heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury has spoken about his recovery from a dissection suffered in preparation for his fight with the holder of the remaining belts in the division, Oleksandr Usyk.

"The incision has already healed. It actually takes about eight weeks for the section to heal. I had 15 weeks from the dissection to fight day. So we've had plenty of time, I'm not worried about the dissection. If it opens up in the fight, the hell with it. I've gotten a lot of dissections. That's boxing," The Stomping Ground quoted Fury as saying.

The fight between Usik and Fury was scheduled for February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but was postponed due to the British received a dissection during training camp. Now the boxers are scheduled to meet on May 18 there.
