Australian UFC welterweight Tyson Pedro announced his retirement from the sport after losing to Brazilian Vitor Petrino at UFC Fight Night 238. According to the 32-year-old fighter, he was pushed to make such a difficult decision by financial problems.
"I had previously thought about leaving. Mainly because I spent probably 12 months away from my spouse and daughter over the last 2.5 years. It's all costing my family a lot of money, so I just won't be able to compete in MMA anymore.
With all the tax deductions and the fact that I got defeated today, it looks like I'm going to have to rob someone in a parking lot," Pedro stated.
Recall that Pedro lost to Petrino by unanimous decision of the judges.
