Pedro ended his career after a loss at UFC Fight Night 238

Australian UFC welterweight Tyson Pedro announced his retirement from the sport after losing to Brazilian Vitor Petrino at UFC Fight Night 238. According to the 32-year-old fighter, he was pushed to make such a difficult decision by financial problems.

"I had previously contemplated leaving. Mainly because I've spent probably 12 months away from my spouse and daughter in the last 2.5 years. It's all costing my family a lot of money, so I just won't be able to compete in MMA anymore.

With all the tax deductions and the fact that I got defeated today, it looks like I'm going to have to rob someone in a parking lot," Pedro stated.

Recall that Pedro lost to Petrino by unanimous decision of the judges.
