Sean O'Malley, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, explained why he changed his mind about his bout with Merab Dvalishvili.
"He did a good job on his social media. He's really pumped up his image in a great way. Plus, he beat Sehudo, a former double champion. And he beat a bunch of other guys before that. I used to say he was boring, but now I agree with people who think he's undefeated. So, now our possible confrontation is getting attention," said Shawn.
Recall that at the press conference after UFC 298, at which Dvalishvili won by split decision over Sejudo, the promotion's CEO Dana White said that Merab is now an official challenger for a title fight in the lightweight division.
