Robert Whittaker, the former UFC middleweight champion, has once again spoken out about his next fight. And again, he did not rule out that in his next fight he could meet with the same former middleweight champion of the promotion, Sean Strickland.
“I think this is a good direction and the most logical choice. I heard that there is a UFC tournament in Perth in August, and I would like to perform there, put on a show there. I want to fight for the title, and I understand that waiting is too long. It doesn’t look like Shawn is busy, he doesn’t have a fight lined up, so it’s a logical step,” Whittaker said in an interview with Submission Radio.
Let's remember that in his last fight, Whittaker won a victory over the former contender for the middleweight championship belt, Paulo Costa, beating the top Brazilian by a judge's decision.
