Well-known manager in the MMA world, Ali Abdel-Aziz, announced that Henry Cejudo got injured before the fight with Merab Dvalishvili.

“Honestly, Henry went against all our persuasion and said: “I’m signing a contract, I’m going to fight.” There is no excuse for this. He fought. I’m not taking anything away from Merab, because Merab did what he needed to do. Cejudo pulled his groin. Henry did not fight or spar for four weeks before the fight. When was the last time we saw Henry Cejudo run out of steam? Never. Henry fizzled out midway through the first round and he won the round. He didn't tell me about the injury. He hid it from me. Dave, the owner of the gym, who is like a big brother to him, told me, his coaches told me, and to be honest, he just had a terrible camp,” Ali Abdel-Aziz was quoted as saying by MMAJunkie.
