Jermall Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs) said that negotiations regarding the organization of his fight with Saul Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) are not currently active. According to information published a few days ago by Ring magazine, such a fight was supposed to take place on May 4 in Las Vegas.

The American claims that he has not recently held talks about returning to the ring, which could mean that Canelo is likely to fight Terence Crawford in May.

Charlo, 33, returned to the ring last November after more than two years away due to personal and health issues, winning a 10-round points fight against Jose Benavidez Jr. Despite the long downtime, the American retained his WBC world middleweight title.
