Already a former IBF world champion in the bantamweight category, Australian Ebany Bridges commented on the defeat from Mio Yoshida at a boxing evening in San Francisco.

“I’m completely devastated, it wasn’t my evening. Big congratulations to my opponent Mio Yoshida, she was better. A wonderful and humble single mother. Seeing how much this win means to her and her daughter makes me feel a little warmer inside.

Failure does not define me. I'm not going to give up, this is just a lesson. I will come back better and stronger. Thank you to everyone who supports me. I love you all,” Bridges wrote on X.

Recall that Bridges lost Yoshida unanimous decision of the judges.
