Alexander Usik, the current world heavyweight champion according to WBA, WBO, IBF, during a recent press conference expressed confidence that his next opponent Tyson Fury, the WBC world heavyweight champion, is afraid of him.
“Do I think Fury is really scared and doesn’t want to fight me like my manager said? Whether he wants it or not, I don’t know. What he’s afraid of is true,” Usyk said.
Let us remind you that the fight between Usik and Fury was scheduled for December 23, but was postponed after Tyson’s unconvincing performance in the fight with Ngannou to February 17. And the other day it became known that the Briton received a blow during sparring, so the fight was postponed again. This time on May 18th.
