WBC world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury stated that he has great respect for the owner of the remaining belts in the division Alexander Usyk because of his piety.
“Usik is a God-fearing person, just like me. We are two of the greatest Christians in boxing. Undefeated. We may train to the best of our ability, but the winner is the one God wants to see win. It doesn't matter if you're from the ditch or from some kingdom, God's chosen one will win.
Why I respect Usik the most among all boxers is that he believes in God. We are two champions, great, but to meet another champion who also believes in God is incredible,” Fury said in an interview for the Gloves Off show on TNT Sports.
Let us remind you that on February 17 in Riyadh, the Ukrainian and the British will determine the first absolute champion in heavyweight since 1999.
