“UFC representatives contacted my manager and offered me a fight at the UFC 300 show against Stipe Miocic. I agreed to the offer, but we were later told that Stipe refused to fight,” Aspinall wrote in X.
Earlier, UFC head Dana White confirmed that Miocic will be the next opponent of current champion Jon Jones, who continues to recover from a torn pectoral muscle. The 41-year-old American of Croatian origin has not entered the Octagon since March 2021, when he lost by knockout to Francis Ngannou and lost his belt.
