UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones explained why he's not interested in fighting interim belt holder Tom Aspinall.
"I know about Tom and he could have an incredible future in the UFC, but when you fight this long you know that people who are here today are gone tomorrow. That's probably what will happen if he accomplishes anything in the UFC.
Right now, the only champion he's beaten is Andrei Orlovsky, who is past his peak. He won the interim title against Sergey [Pavlovich], but Sergey got beaten in his last fight. He hasn't beaten champions, yet he thinks he's a champion. He's not," Jones said in an interview with ESPN US.
As a reminder, Jones will defend his title against Stipe Miocic this weekend at UFC 309 in New York, USA.
