Dos Anjos explained why he agreed to fight Gamrot

Rafael Dos Anjos, the former UFC lightweight champion, explained why he agreed to fight Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 299.

“I like this challenge. Last time, Gamrot made weight to secure a title fight, which means he was one step away from winning the belt. A win over him will bring me that much closer to a title shot. Especially considering that I already have a history with Islam, several of our fights fell through. A victory over Gamrot is a great chance to get a fight with Makhachev,” the fighter said.

Let us remind you that the 299th UFC tournament will take place on the night of March 10.
