Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum will be inducted into the ADCC Hall of Fame during the 2024 World Championships, which will be held at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 17 and 18.
Werdum is a five-time ADCC medalist. In 2003, the Brazilian won silver in the 99+ kg category and bronze in the absolute weight in the same year. He received a bronze medal again in 2009 in the over 99kg weight category and then went on to win two gold medals. In his last season, in 2011, Fabricio became second in the heavyweight division.
Let us remember that 46-year-old Werdum fought his last fight in September last year, losing to Junior Dos Santos by split decision. The fight took place with bare fists according to MMA rules.
