Hooker: “Makhachev will leave MMA so as not to have a rematch with Tsarukyan”

New Zealand lightweight Dan Hooker I'm sure that the division champion Islam Makhachev is not eager to have a second fight with Arman Tsarukyan.

“They had a pretty close first fight. Tsarukyan could have beaten Makhachev. Islam will not give him revenge. I guarantee that Makhachev will retire when Arman is given a title chance.

Fighting Tsarukyan is too risky. There are many much easier fights, much easier opponents for Islam. And no one will buy a broadcast of Tsarukyan’s fight. It’s much better to watch Makhachev’s fight against Gaethje or Conor,” Hooker said on The MMA Hour show.

Let us recall that in April 2019, Makhachev defeated Tsarukyan by unanimous decision.
