Whittaker named the best fighter of 2023

Former UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker told who he considers the best fighter of the outgoing year.

“I will choose Pereira. He achieved so much in such a small number of fights! In the middleweight division he was a giant, then moved up to light heavyweight and did his job there too. Had a great fight with Blachowicz and won the title. In my opinion, you need to choose this guy,” MMA Mania quotes Whittaker as saying.

Let us remind you that on November 12 at the UFC 294 tournament, Alex Pereira won the vacant light heavyweight belt by knocking out Jiri Prochazka.
