Wilder on preparing for Parker: “I never had less than 23 rounds at a time”

Former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder spoke about his training camp for the upcoming fight with Joseph Parker, and also talked about how his acclimatization in Saudi Arabia went.

The fight will take place on December 23 at a boxing evening in Riyadh.

“Everyone will see what I’m capable of. I woke up this morning feeling very fresh and young. Upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, I felt exhausted and tired for several days, but this did not stop me from training. I went to the gym and did 23 rounds per workout.

I haven't had less than 23 rounds at a time during this camp. And this is without interruption. There were no breaks, no water, nothing. I don’t know anyone who could repeat this. The next day here I spent 28 rounds, on the third there were 35 and so on. The sparring was crazy. “I’ve already started knocking out guys,” Boxing News quotes Wilder.
