Edwards named Fighter of the Year by World MMA Awards

On the eve of the next defense of the UFC welterweight champion belt, the British fighter Leon Edwards received a prestigious award. He was recognized as “Fighter of the Year” by the prestigious annual World MMA Awards. In the fight for this title, Edwards beat out Islam Makhachev, Israel Adesanya, Aljamain Sterling and Sadiba Sy.

Let us remind you that Edwards will have to fight Colby Covington on December 16th. Their confrontation will headline UFC 296.
