Covington wanted to take Trump as his corner to fight Edwards, but Dana White is against it

Colby Covington, a contender for the UFC welterweight championship belt, wanted to take on the upcoming fight against Leon Edwards as former US President Donald Trump's corner. According to the fighter, the politician agreed to this, however, UFC CEO Dana White, who is also a very good friend of Trump, opposed this idea.

Covington previously stated that Trump was helping to develop plans for a fight with Edwards. Colby also expressed confidence that Trump would beat him in a fight.

Let us remind you that the confrontation between Covington and Edwards will take place on December 16 and will headline UFC 296.
