Usman names the favorite for the Edwards-Covington fight

Former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman shared his forecast for the upcoming fight between the current belt holder Leon Edwards And Colby Covington.

Their meeting will be the main event of UFC 296, which will take place on December 16 in Las Vegas.

“We don’t know exactly how the long layoff affected them, and that’s what makes me doubt Colby Covington’s chances. If it weren’t for the huge break, I would have bet on Colby one hundred percent. Right now, Leon Edwards considers himself the best welterweight on the planet because he came out victorious against Kamaru Usman, who ruled the division before him.

I believe that Leon has this confidence: “Well, Kamaru beat him twice, which means I can definitely get the better of this guy.” But Kamaru Usman is a little different than Covington. Not only does Kamaru know how to fight, and not only does he have the stamina to keep you constantly on your toes, but he is also capable of knocking you out with one hit.

I think that Leon believes in this, and therefore only because of this stupid confidence I choose him,” BJ Penn quotes Usman as saying.
