Early Life & Wrestling Career
Born and raised in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Smith comes from an athletic family and experienced asthma early in life, which delayed his entry into sports. He found his path in wrestling during middle school, inspired by a desire to excel. Smith became a standout wrestler at Oklahoma State University, earning All-American honors in 2018. Despite battling a torn knee, he continued to compete until completing his collegiate career.
Transition to MMA & Professional Debut
After graduating, Smith pursued mixed martial arts, initially training at American Kickboxing Academy under Daniel Cormier before relocating to Dallas to join Fortis MMA under coach Sayif Saud.
