Eduard Bazrov, coach of UFC welterweight Shavkat Rakhmonov, spoke about his injury and the surgery he underwent.

“This is an old, very old injury; this surgery was done to him when he was young, and over time, it was needed again. It's a problematic leg, so the recovery has been prolonged. There were issues of a nature that I cannot talk about right now. We have topics that we do not touch upon, but in general, the surgery was conducted in Germany, and everything went well. Everyone knows that cruciate ligaments take a very long time to recover, to heal; you need to undergo a big, thorough rehabilitation. For now, that's all I can say. Returning to training is only possible after full rehabilitation, which is a minimum of six months.”
