Charles Oliveira talked about the injury he received in the fight with Max Holloway.
“During the fight, I stopped feeling the left side of my body. People didn’t understand what it was, so they started talking about the esophagus, but in fact, it was a neck injury. They even said I could have been paralyzed because of it, and it wasn’t a joke. In the ambulance, the medics tried to put an IV in my arm, and I didn’t even feel it because I couldn’t feel the left side of my body. At that moment, I was scared that my career was over,” Oliveira told the NY Post Sports in an interview.
