The undefeated Ecuadorian Michael Morales made a bold statement, directly addressing the current UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev. The 26-year-old fighter, ranked third in the division, openly called on the Dagestani to sign the contract for the fight.

'My eyes are set on the title. Islam, sign the contract,' Morales succinctly wrote in his social media account on X.

Morales began his professional career in mixed martial arts in 2017 and has since remained undefeated: 19 victories (15 by knockout) with no losses.

Michael fought his last match in November last year at UFC 322. The Ecuadorian knocked out American Sean Brady in the first round, after which he has not stopped declaring his readiness to fight for the belt.
